Finally able to give you all an update about my mother in law.
As you know she is not doing well and will die soon. I also told you that she never was a real fine mother, but a rather selfish and dominating person (and alcoholic).
Last week things went worse we thought. She still doesnt eat at all but she continues drinking water a bit every day.
My wife visited her several times last week and noticed that her health was going downwards rather quick. Last Thursday she even didnt wake up and dreamed heavy with all kind of noises.
When we visited her last Sunday all things were a bit better. She even asked us, when we came in, if it was Sunday... well she didnt knew that for years so rather weird.
We stayed for an hour and my decided to phone the doctor yesterday. It appears that my MIL has a lot of pain in her breast (she has a tumor there) and that she is treated with a kind of morphine patches. Her kidneys are bad and wont work good. That started about 6 months ago but we werent aware of it.
It was caused by high blood pressure the doctor said.
Its difficult to tell how long this will go on, it can lasts weeks but also months so we are unsure.
We decided to cancel our trip to Madrid but hope we will be able to go on vacation next July.
I havent been online much here lately so there is a lot to read.
Will keep you informed....
